Regaining your footing as A man. A dad. A human being.
Before we start this journey, I can't emphasise enough how important it is to be really honest with yourself....and here's why
Facing the truth of where you really are can be quite a brutal reality but until you remove the mask you can't find your ground and the starting point for reclaiming your identity as a man.
For me, being honest meant facing the truth that I had lost my way. It wasn’t easy—it brought on anxiety (something I’d never dealt with before) and some dark moments.
This was so crucial before I could start my journey
But by going through that, I began to understand that this process was necessary and even though I may not be perfect, i'm a good human who just needed somewhere to start.
#1 RESET – Find Your Ground
Not sure where to begin? In just 30 minutes, we’ll:
✅ Identify the mask holding you back
✅ Map out the first STEP you can make right now
✅ Leave you with one clear action to move forward
You've done the hardest part: Surviving
We start here.
Not where you “should” be. Not where others expect you to be.
Here. Today. This moment.
Listen up:
The past? You can’t rewrite it. So let it go — and let the anger or guilt go with it.
Society doesn’t get to decide who you are.
You don’t need what anyone else has.
You’ve got something better — the opportunity to write your future.
Your story.
Your terms.
Your way.
Your Step 1 Reset Action:
Take 20 quiet minutes every day. No phone. No emails. Just be present and show yourself kindness, give yourself a break. Somewhere outside if possible
Ask yourself: “What part of me have I been ignoring?” Be selfish if it needs it
Write down one word that captures how you feel. Own it. Make it happen
You can’t rebuild without honesty so be brutal about it. This is where it starts.
Next step, we begin the work of reclaiming who you really are.
#2 RECLAIM – Your Identity
You may feel lost, but you are not broken
This step is about reclaiming your identity—not as society defines it, but how you do.
You’ve hit the ground. Now let’s stand on it.
For a long time, I measured myself by how much I made, who I provided for, and what I did. But when all that collapsed, I had to face a scary truth:
I didn’t know who I was without it.
But remember:
Losing your way isn’t the end—it’s the beginning of something powerful.
Your Step 2 Reclaim Action:
Not everyone gets the chance to start again and make better choices, see it as an opportunity and reshape your mask, and make your traits to work for you not against you
Make a list of 3 values you used to or want to live by. As always be brutally honest
Then, ask: “How would the man I want to be show up for himself using these values"
Start showing up today as this man, think about your values before making decisions or speaking to someone.
This is how you begin becoming a man who is both powerful and peaceful.
Forging Your Path is about you—not anyone else’s version of how a man should be
Next step, we shift from identity to intention.
#3 REFOCUS – Set The New Compass
New goals. New rules.
Let go of the noise. Let in the clarity
Now that you’re reconnecting with who you are, it’s time to focus forward.
You don’t need a 10-year plan or a vision board right now. You need clarity.
Your Step 3 Refocus Action:
✳️Choose ONE area to improve this week (health, time with kids, sleep, finances).
✳️Write down the smallest, simplest action step you can take by tomorrow and do it every day
✳️Once you have this nailed, add more goals to your week
Forget perfection. Progress is the new power.
The first thing I focused on was my sleep — because honestly, it affected everything, especially my mood.
If you have trouble sleeping see my "Hand Picked Products Page"
And when things felt overwhelming, I’d step away from the laptop and just get outside.
Even a short walk in the fresh air remembering to be kind to myself helped clear my head. It might not seem like much, but it gave me the perspective I needed to start making better, more positive choices.
Next, we begin to rebuild with real structure.
#4 REBUILD – Your Daily Plan
Structure isn’t restriction. It’s freedom
Let’s build a daily rhythm that works for you
One thing I learned is this: chaos thrives in the absence of rhythm.
You don’t need a military schedule—you need a daily win plan that gives you time, power, and peace.
"Most men don’t lack potential, they lack a real plan"
Your Step 4 Rebuild Action:
Using the 3 anchors for your day: morning, midday, evening.
Define a small ritual for each, examples:
- Stretch in the morning or take a 10 minute walk,
- Breathe 2–3 minutes of deep breathing. (this is great to keep you calm and focused
- Spend uninterrupted time with your kids/partner or check in with your mates.
- Journal 3 lines at night about the best bits of your day
The last one I do with my boys every night at bed time which helps me as much as them!
NOW SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT: Don't let anything get in the way of seeing your friends
"Seeing your "mates" is beneficial for men as it provides emotional support, reduces stress, and fosters a sense of belonging, which can improve mental and physical well-being.
Strong male friendships can lead to better relationships at home and work, improved emotional skills, and even buffer against stress"
For me, just having a good old laugh about stupid things helped me immensely

So, these rituals are yours. They bring rhythm to the madness and keep you connected to your core.
You’re no longer surviving—you’re leading your life again.
Next, we rise.
#5 RISE – Live Your Life On Your Terms
This is your second chapter - Own it!
Here’s what it looks like to feel strong, proud, and free again
You’ve come a long way—from confusion and burnout to clarity and confidence.
This final step is about owning your rise. You don’t need to be perfect—you just need to show up as you, every damn day.
Your Step 5 Rise Action:
Write down what “success” looks like for you now—not what the world says, what YOU say….be brutally honest even if it feels selfish
Then make one promise to yourself for the next 7 days and make sure you carry it out
This is your life now. Your path. Your rules.
