For years, I wore the mask of The Provider and The Pleaser.

Always agreeable. Always dependable. Always putting everyone else first, keeping family & friends at arms length — even if it meant burying my own needs, dreams, and identity.

On the surface, life looked fine. I had a steady job, a sense of responsibility, and the approval of those around me. But deep down, I felt hollow. I’d lost touch with who I truly was. My sense of worth was tied to keeping the peace, avoiding conflict, and making sure others were happy… while I was quietly angry inside.

Then came the turning point. A series of hard life changes stripped away the comfort of my routine — and the mask that once “protected” me ironically became a weight I could no longer carry. I realised I didn’t even know who I was without it.

That’s when I began the real work:

• Reclaiming my identity — discovering what I wanted, not just what I thought others expected of me.

• Reshaping my mask — not throwing it away, but reshaping it into something that served me rather than drained me.

• Redefining success — no longer chasing status or approval, but creating a life that gave me time freedom, financial stability, and space for what truly mattered for me and my family.

This is my personal 5 Steps Journey of reclaiming my identity & Purpose

RESET - Find Your Ground

The hardest part of my journey was having a brutally honest conversation with myself. Admitting I was nowhere near the man I wanted to be—or the man I pretended to be—was crushing. I felt useless, exposed.

But in that moment, I saw the truth: I’d been hiding, even from myself.

That painful reckoning grounded me. It stripped everything back to my foundation, to my most honest self. And while it was tough to accept, it gave me a base to build from.

RECLAIM - Your Identity, Your Purpose

Even when I felt broken, I held onto the belief that I was a good person. Reclaiming myself began with kindness—especially toward myself. I started treating myself with the same compassion that I’d always give to others.

From there, I began reaching out. I made time for the friends and family who lifted me up. Just being in their presence reminded me of who I really was and who I used to be

REFOCUS - Set the new compass

With some clarity returning, I knew I had to be intentional about where I placed my energy. No more running on autopilot. No more wasting time trying to prove myself or live up to anyone else's expectations.

I started asking better questions: What really matters to me? How do I show up everyday as the person I want to be? I worked hard to cut out the distractions—the habits, the thoughts, the people—that kept me stuck. I wasn’t chasing perfection; I was chasing progress. One decision, one action at a time.

REBUILD - Build Your Daily Plan

Rebuilding for me wasn’t about becoming someone new—it was about returning to who I really was, underneath it all. I created structure, even in small ways: waking up earlier, setting goals, following through. I started to trust my gut instinct again which was a game changer. No more pleasing everyone else. I started to reshape my mask back to who I used to be.

RISE - Live the Life You Know You Were Meant For

This wasn’t a single moment. It was a series of quiet wins, of showing up when it would’ve been easier to hide or be who others wanted me to be. It was choosing growth over comfort—again and again.

I'd got back to knowing that being a "Pleaser" is actually who I am and like the other masks you just need to get back to using it positively and making the right decisions for you.

I then realised that most people don't get to start over again from the ground up and that I now have control over what happens next

So I Found My Identity… Now What?

Redefining success

Turning 50. Two young boys. Losing two dear friends. Realising how quickly financial stability can vanish. It all hit me like a wave. I craved financial security, sure—but more than that, I needed meaning. So I asked myself a powerful, honest question:

“What do I truly want in life?”

And the answer came to me loud and clear: TIME.

Time for…
My loved ones
My health
My adventures
My lifestyle

I had to redefine what success meant to me

So Instead of asking:

“How do I fit in time for the loved ones, holidays, and myself?”

I flipped it:

“How do I build income that fits around them and achieving a successful life?”

It was during this process that I took a bold step: I decided to build my own online business from scratch. No prior experience. Just the determination to forge a life on my terms.

The initial journey wasn’t easy, I was very sceptical,  but it was worth every challenge. And along with the support and mentorship of an amazing program called Launch You who I am a proud ambassador for. Today,

"I now have what I once thought was impossible: the freedom to choose how I spend my time, financial stability, and the deep satisfaction of living in alignment with my values"

Most importantly, I’ve become the man I always wanted to be — authentic, self-directed, and proud of the path I’ve taken.

And my new business?.......Forge Your Path.

It’s not just a business for me. It’s a mission to help men navigate their own journeys of transformation — but this time, with the support and guidance I wish I’d had when I started.
